The amount of wailing and gnashing of teeth that will occur as a result of this match-up, I can’t even estimate. Heads exploding, cats and dogs living together; MASS HYSTERIA. Skywarp narrowly defeated Astrotrain in the last round, while Starscream also managed to eliminate Shockwave by a somewhat slim margin. (That match-up received more votes than any other poll in this tournament, by the way.)

Also, don’t forget to check out yesterday’s poll, as it hasn’t received very many votes. (Though, frankly, I doubt that’s going to save Kup from his fate.)

Megatron’s out! Megatron lost! UPSET! UPSET! I mean, I guess it’s an upset, right? Skywarp pulled in 59% of the vote to knock out ol’ Megs in round two. Meanwhile, Astrotrain defeated the Combaticons by a similar margin. So, yeah. Decepticons!

And please note that, from now on, I’ll only be posting one poll per day, since the field has thinned out a little bit and we’re close to the end of the tournament. So, if you only see one poll go up, you haven’t missed anything. Also, in case you can’t tell, I’ve started using Google Image Search for my header images.

I’ve got to be honest: I’m not a big Decepticon fan. Don’t get me wrong, I do like individual Decepticons. I just don’t understand the people who think the bad guys are the good guys and who want them to win and… I don’t know. It just feels like cheering for a serial killer or running a Hitler fan club or something and WHY YOU DO THAT? Anyway, my point is, this bracket is probably going to be really difficult for a lot of you from here on out.

Honestly, I feel exactly the same about both Megatron and Skywarp. They kind of just get a big shrug from me. Most portrayals of Megatron depict him as the Generic ’80s Cartoon Villain to Optimus Prime’s Generic ’80s Cartoon Hero. I guess Skywarp is cool, though. Wise-asses are kinda cool, right? Also, teleportation. Wait. Is Skywarp Deadpool?

The reason for this isn’t entirely clear to me, but I really love Generation 2. And while Skywarp definitely has the popularity vote, Jhiaxus is way more interesting and badass to me. Then again, with all due respect to Megatron, I’ve always heavily favored any major Transformers villain who isn’t Megs or Unicron. Annnnd that’s all I’ve got to say about this.
